About Us

Russian Ethnic Community Society is a non-profit community association representing and providing services to Russian – speaking people living in NSW.

Our Vision and Mission

To support and empower diverse Russian – speaking individuals and communities of migrants and second/third generation Australians to reach their full potential in Australia;

To extend co-operation, harmony, and unity among Russian-Speaking community in NSW;

To preserve Russian heritage and to create better understanding and appreciation of the Russian culture in Australia.

What we do

Promote Russian culture in Australia through media platforms, festivals, conferences, and special events within Russian culture, science, business, and educational communities.

Conducts regular services and activates to support Russian – speaking individuals, community groups and organizations, especially people with limited family networks, limited English proficiency, woman, youth, and elderly people.

Programs

Cultural festivals and events

Our association works together and supports many Russian groups in NSW, such as theatres, dance and music groups, choirs, Russian community language schools, who participate in major cultural festivals and events.

Community Conferences and Seminars

We organise regular community conferences and seminars encouraging the social and economic participation of Russian-speaking people in Australia by developing skills and cultural competencies to integrate into Australian social, economic and civic life, and build community resilience.

Children and Youth

Our organisation aimed at cultivating Russian traditions, culture and preserving the Russian language with young generation. Buy working closely with community language schools and youth association in NSW we organised events, festivals and cultural competitions for children and youth.

Elderly support

Support Russian speaking seniors in one of your priorities. We conduct projects and activities to tailor aged community requests, needs, abilities and interests. We always welcome Russian-speaking senior at our events and happy to assist with greater community access and inclusion.

    Our organisation is run by volunteers.
    Volunteers play a vital role in delivering our many services, events, and programs to the Russian-speaking community in NSW.

    Volunteering can provide the opportunity to help others, gain experience, improve career prospects and meet new people. There are many volunteering opportunities available at the Russian Ethnic Community Society.
